The Aboriginal Health Liaison Officer (AHLO) provides support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their families, and women birthing First Nations babies, at Barwon Health.

AHLO Renee Howell is a proud Arrernte Woman living on Wadawurrung Country. Renee is available Monday to Friday during business hours to provide support, referral, information and resources to First Nations families at Barwon Health.

Our AHLO can help people understand the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and families to ensure culturally appropriate maternity experiences at Barwon Health.
